Job Description Job Description General Summary: This position
supports and assists Mortgage Loan Originator in processing
In-house Real Estate Loans, Construction Loans, and Secondary
Market Home Loans. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Primary
1) Possess the knowledge, skill and desire to provide professional
services to effectively, efficiently, successfully and legally
originate and/or, process and close real estate loans with JD Bank
and products with the mortgage company(ies) of JD Bank's choice. 2)
Remains current and complies with all RESPA and other regulatory
law, guidelines and general acceptable banking practices. 3)
Represent JD Bank in the utmost professional manner at all times.
4) Conduct loan processing and closing activities at the JD Bank
office of the borrower's request. Employee will meet face to face
with borrower to the extent that the borrower needs or requests
such level of service. 5) Provide and maintain reliable personal
transportation in order to comply with the above listed
responsibilities. 6) Be accessible to JD Bank office personnel. 7)
Cross-sell JD Bank products and services to borrowers when feasible
to borrower 8) Provide back-up support to other loan originator/
processors when and if needed. 9) Comply with JD Bank employee
standards and guidelines. 10) Assist Construction Lender with
construction draws and inspections. 11) Order forms pick-up survey
for construction loans. Administrative Functions 1) Answers call
and takes messages for department staff when not available.
Secondary: 1) Ensure maximum program exposure via: a) JD Bank
branch referrals b) Solicitation of JDB customer contractors c)
Realtor relations d) Advertising 2.) Adherence to and support of
all compliance and BSA/AML rules and regulations related to this
job function. 3.) Performs other duties that may be assigned by
Management. Education and Experience: 1) High School diploma or
general education degree (GED): bachelor's will be preferred 2) 4
to 6 years of experience as a mortgage loan processor 3) Previous
banking or financial institution experience preferred Preferred
Skills: 1) Understanding of loan underwriting and processing
procedures 2) Proficient in mortgage loan computer software 3)
Outstanding communication and customer service skills. Ability to
interact in a courteous, helpful and professional manner. 4)
Excellent attention to detail 5) Ability to handle high pressure,
high volume of work and willing to work overtime as necessary to
properly complete assigned duties. 6) Must possess excellent
organization skills. 7) Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
software. Secondary Market specific requirements: Experienced in
FNMA/FHLMC/GNMA guidelines as they pertain the Sellers/ Servicing
Guidelines, including but not limited to underwriting, appraisals,
self-employment analysis, processing, and mortgage insurance.
Experience in LOS, Caylx, Byte, FNMA Desktop Underwriting/Desktop
Origination and GUS. Scheduling : Work schedule will vary depending
upon demand, but will consist of an 8-hour shift between the hours
of 7:45 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional
overtime may be required. Regular attendance is required. Physical
