Job Description:

Clean Harbors seeks a dedicated Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic to join our automotive service team, focusing on vehicle upkeep and repairs within our fleet that serves environmental, energy, and industrial needs across North America. This role is pivotal in maintaining the operational efficiency of our vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and environmental standards and support our mission to safeguard the environment through responsible disposal and response services. Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections according to manufacturer's guidelines and internal schedules. Identify mechanical issues and conduct repairs to keep vehicles safe and operational. Manage emergency vehicle breakdowns promptly and efficiently. Document and record maintenance and repair work for compliance and reporting. Collaborate with fleet management to optimize maintenance schedules and vehicle availability. Ensure the workshop and tools are maintained to high safety and cleanliness standards. Support environmental compliance by ensuring all vehicles adhere to sustainability practices. Strong expertise in vehicle diagnostics and repairs. Ability to use diagnostic tools and standard automotive tools. Understanding of automotive electronics and engine systems. Proven ability to handle physical workload and operate required equipment. Effective communication skills and attention to detail for documentation. Proficiency in maintaining a safe and organized workplace. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) is highly preferred. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Training or certification in environmental compliance is a plus.
