Job Description Job Description Ø Monitor and maintain records of daily operating plant process conditions to identify opportunities and implement improvements for safety, productivity, quality, and cost. Ø Investigate safety, process safety, and environmental incidents and near misses. Implement countermeasures. Ø Maintain a detailed downtime database and lead improvements. Ø Troubleshoot process and equipment performance. Ø Lead and/or participate on problem solving teams as requested. Ø Plan and conduct trials for the purpose of obtaining information useful to increasing production rates and/or improving quality and yield. Follow the procedure for conducting plant trials and use the Plant Trial form when applicable. Ø Use SPC tools to enhance process problem solving. Ø Write operating procedures, control narratives and conduct training of personnel when needed or requested. Ø Develop a functional knowledge of the digital control systems to sufficiently troubleshoot the process. Ø Train personnel on the process computer and process as requested. Ø Assist the SHE Department in the preparation of environmental reports when requested by the Production Manager. Ø Prepare monthly progress reports to the Production Manager which include comparisons and analysis of production results versus budget targets for his/her area of responsibility. Ø Perform Process Safety Management task as requested such as updating P&IDs, completing PSSRs, updating process safety information (PSI) records, and participating on HAZOP teams.
