Veolia Environnement (Paris Euronext: VIE) achieved consolidated revenue of 28,508 billion euros in 2021. - -Job DescriptionResponsible for overseeing the management, direction, and supervision of all the hazardous waste incineration functions to include waste material consolidations for appropriate burns at the facility. Directs and schedulesincineration assignments and handles resolutions to moderately complex existing and/or potential problems while efficiently enforcing health, safety, and environmental compliance issues as well as maintaining a high level ofquality assurance/controls by implementing appropriate incineration methodologies. Determines cost of materials versus labor and provides technical expertise on incineration modifications, etc. Assist immediate supervisor in the annual preparation and reviews targeted goals versus forecasted budget allowances as well as conducting specialexploratory assignments as directed by management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enforce all compliance, health and safety, and environmental procedures in accordance with departmental policies in undertaking maintenance and engineering projects.
  • Develop and direct the scheduling of day-to-day activities pertaining to site incineration projects to ensure efficient and effective operation of the facility.
  • Direct periodic assessment on incinerators, equipment, etc., and oversee supervision of required repairs to insure minimal down time in the movement and incineration of hazardous waste.
  • Oversee work performed by outside contractors' on incinerators to insure that federal, state, and/or local regulatory requirements are adhered to from inception to completion of project(s).
  • Schedule all mandatory training courses as required by OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc., as well as update refresher courses instituted by Veolia.
  • -Provide direction and guidance in handling problem waste streams and develop appropriate guidelines for special waste problems.
  • Assist in the development of annual capital budget and long range capital plans and oversees implementation to insure completion within budgetary constraints.
  • Assist immediate supervisor in preparing annual budgets to include manpower, equipment, supplies needs to insure appropriate incineration requirements.Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
