Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Correctional Discipline: LPN / LVN Start Date: 08/16/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) • Nights • Corrections Join our team as an LVN for night shifts in a Huntsville, Texas correctional facility, providing vital healthcare within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Responsibilities: • Provide nursing care and administer medications. • Perform IV therapy and collaborate with healthcare teams. • Adapt to a fast•paced environment and manage tasks efficiently. • Float between units within a 10•30 minute radius as needed. Schedule: • Night shifts: 5:00 PM • 5:30 AM or 5:45 PM • 6:15 AM. • 36/48•hour weekly rotation with advance scheduling. • Overtime opportunities based on performance. Qualifications: • Valid Compact or Texas LVN license. • BLS and IV Therapy Certification. • 2 years LVN experience, 1 year in Acute Care or Med Surg preferred. • Experience in LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing, or Psych is a plus. • Ability to work independently in a correctional setting. Additional Information: • COVID•19 vaccination required, exemptions accepted. • Orientation provided after credentialing and state clearance.
