ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: BLS ACLS NIHSS PACU experience Description:
This unit offers 9 pre-op beds and 9 PACU bays. The staff consists
of 6-7 nurses per shift, with staffing including 1 Clinical Nurse
Coordinator and 5-6 Registered Nurses on day shift. The night shift
includes call coverage only. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1-2
patients per nurse. Key equipment used includes a glucometer, EKG
machine, bladder scanner, and Mobilab. The EMR system utilized is
Meditech. Candidates are preferred to have PALS certification and
experience with Meditech. Prior experience in the specified health
system is considered a plus. Common procedures performed in this
role include orthopedic surgeries such as total joints, revisions,
and fractures. General surgeries, including robotic, laparoscopic,
and open procedures, are also performed. Colorectal surgeries,
urological surgeries, and gynecological surgeries (robotic and
laparoscopic) are regularly conducted. The ideal candidate will
possess a positive attitude and demonstrate a proactive and
efficient workflow. Teamwork and collaboration are essential
qualities for success in this position. Safety rounds are conducted
every hour with updates provided. Family updates are communicated
to the designated waiting area. Call coverage is shared among
full-time staff and includes late shifts. Requirements Required for
