Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team of healthcare professionals in providing exceptional care in our inpatient rehabilitation facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing patient respiratory function, administering respiratory therapies and treatments, and educating patients and their families on lung health and wellness. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of health conditions affecting the respiratory system and the ability to operate sophisticated medical equipment. Evaluate patient's respiratory conditions through diagnostic procedures including pulmonary function tests and blood gas analysis. Develop and implement effective respiratory care plans based on patient assessments and recommendations by healthcare professionals. Operate and maintain various types of respiratory care equipment such as ventilators, oxygen suppliers, and nebulizers. Educate patients and their families on lung health, disease management, and preventive measures. Regularly monitor and document patient progress, revising treatment plans as necessary. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care. Proficient in advanced respiratory care and life support Strong analytical skills for patient assessment and diagnosis Effective interpersonal and communication skills Ability to operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current state license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
