details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a Locum
Nurse Practitioner – General Medicine to provide one-time,
non-treatment medical disability evaluations for Veterans. This
role is based out of Houston, TX , with services delivered at
approved clinic locations or the provider’s own office within
designated Missouri communities. Exams are primarily
interview-based , with focused physical assessments such as range
of motion and muscle strength testing. The provider will conduct
Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health
Assessments only. There is no prescribing, no ongoing patient care,
and no treatment planning involved. Documentation and medical
opinions are completed electronically following each evaluation.
This is an ongoing PRN locum opportunity ideal for providers
seeking flexible clinical work. Shift Timings PRN coverage with
half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) options Daytime coverage
only No call, no overnight duties Exams performed in a professional
outpatient or private office setting Requirements Active and
unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license AANP certification
(required) Proficiency in METs testing and evaluation of
cardiovascular and respiratory conditions Willingness to complete
DMA training Ability to perform General Medicine evaluations Access
to a personal laptop (non-Apple) Benefits Competitive locum
