Hospital proudly servesadult and geriatric patients experiencing
mental and behavioral health challengesin the Lake Charles
community. Our22-bed acute care psychiatric hospitalprovides
high-quality inpatient and outpatient services, along with
specialized treatment programs designed to support stabilization,
recovery, and long-term wellness. We are currently seekingLicensed
Practical Nurses (LPNs)to join our clinical team on theDay Shift
(7:00 PM -7:00 AM),workinga2/3 block schedule. POSITION SUMMARY:
Utilizes assessment scales toidentifybasic needs of patients by
collecting data andidentifyingdeviations from normal. Effectively
communicates pertinent assessment findings with other healthcare
members. Accurately and thoroughly document all findings in
thepatientrecord. Identifiesexpected outcomes based on assessment
data. Implements nursing care interventionsidentifiedin the
individualized multidisciplinary treatment plan using accepted
standards of practice in collaboration with other health care
providers. The nurse executes nursing procedures and treatments as
directed by the physician. Performs vital signs/measurements on
patients as ordered and as needed based on nursing judgment and
documents same in the medical record. The nurse administers
medications by following established safety procedures and
standards. Accurately communicates/documents medication
dosesprescribed. The individual accurately transcribes orders and
performs chart auditsin accordance withfacility guidelines. The
individual follows up on patient care responsibilities and
communicates incomplete assignments and patient needs with other
disciplines to ensure continuity of care. The individual
executesadditionaltasks and projects as assigned. PREFERRED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Education:
Certification from approved Practical Nursing Program License:
Licensed as an LPN to practice in the State of Louisiana.
Experience: One year of LPN experience preferred.Previousexperience
with behavioral health and/or geriatrics isstronglypreferred. We
