Job Description Job Description CYLINDER TECHNICIAN Monday -
Friday 6:30 am - 3:00 pm DOE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Disassemble,
inspect, and reassemble hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. Measure
seals, surfaces, and components using calibrated tools (calipers,
micrometers, gauges). Identify worn or damaged parts and determine
repair needs. Use drawings, manuals, and work instructions to
complete work accurately. Document work activity, inspections, and
time using internal systems (routers/forms). Maintain quality
standards and report any issues or non-conformances to the Quality
team. Follow all safety policies and help maintain a clean,
organized work area (6S). Support continuous improvement efforts to
increase efficiency and quality. Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS 5 years of experience in hydraulic cylinder repair
or cylinder manufacturing (preferred). Strong mechanical ability
and understanding of cylinder components and seal configurations.
Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers,
gauges). Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings,
schematics, and service manuals (GD&T preferred). Skilled in
the use of hand tools, torque wrenches, and hydraulic tools (must
have own basic hand tools). Ability to follow work instructions and
quality procedures; familiarity with ISO 9001 and API Q1 is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality. Able
to communicate clearly and read/write English.
