The Life Cycle Execution Manager leads and influences a regional team of embedded on-site resources who provide technical and reliability engineering support to our strategic customers in the oil & gas, chemical and other industries. The Manager will collaborate and partner with the respective end-user sales teams to ensure alignment on account initiatives, program deliverables, and support developing growth opportunities to leverage the portfolio of Flowserve’s products and services, and insure the development and execution of strategic world class Life Cycle Advantage (LCA) programs.

  • Manage a group of Application Engineers who report out of our Quick Response Service Center and customer sites by maintaining high levels of employee engagement, technical excellence, and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as an ambassador of best practices and ensure your teams are continually developing and executing practices and programs that result in a differentiation from Flowserve and its competitors.
  • Convey a sense of passion for the work and compel a commitment to the vision and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Have a Customer First attitude that permeates through the team and throughout the organization.  Advocate for the customer within Flowserve, acting as a liaison with sales engineering, customer service, and operations.
  • Assist the sales team and customers in decisions regarding repairs, upgrades, and new equipment for specific applications.   Provide technical guidance about installation and operation of our products.  Troubleshoot technical problems at our customers’ sites and in-house at Flowserve’s Quick Response Centers.
  • Oversee Application Engineering projects with both analytical and hands-on approaches, such as failure analysis reports, product performance reports, recommendations for upgrades, etc. Maintain a high expectation and standard for team and individual deliverables.
  • Effectively lead the AEs to ensure that Flowserve meets and exceeds commitments to customers in our LCA programs.  Insure Flowserve demonstrates value to our customers on all key agreements. Identify and actively engage in corrective action where needed.
  • Be the point-of-contact and subject matter expert for key LCA accounts.  Champion new LCA agreements by coordinating the transition from contract negotiation to execution.
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate new processes and standard operating procedures within the organization to ensure contractual commitments (including revenue targets, operating margins, and strategic objectives, etc) are being achieved.
  • Responsible for the tracking of Key Performance Indicators across the agreements to maximize activities to meet the goals of the agreement
  • Facilitate problem-solving discussions effectively, with a collaborative approach and a mastery of problem-solving tools and methodologies.
  • Ensure that Application Engineers maintain data in engineering systems; process engineering change notices; submit corrective action reports; and maintain current, accurate, and organized files.
  • Be a mentor for the Application Engineers as well as positively influencing members of other ancillary teams and personnel. Places a high priority on developing technical and business skills.
Evaluate AEs’ performance; reward successes, and take remedial actions as needed.  Complete mid-year and annual performance reviews. Be an exporter of talent by Identifying, recruiting, hiring and developing your directorate.
