We are looking for passionate, creative team members who can share our vision for connecting manufacturing leaders with the right people and technology for the benefit of all.Position SummaryThe Quality Specialist has the unique opportunity of being the last line of defense in ensuring the equipment is properly built, set and tested to the customers' requirements. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you will be inspecting quality and efficient equipment for refineries, Chemical and Petrochemical plants, Power plants and Pipelines. The Quality Specialist will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. Ensuring all documentation and photos are attached to each order. Apply AWC, and where appropriate, Customer Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHS&E) Policy and Management Systems. You will also assist in critical analysis for process improvement opportunities. In this role you will be performing final inspection of multiple valve types and become a Certified Individual (CI). You will assist in maintaining a calibration program, reoccurring training/certification requirements, as well as the safety program for the facility. Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of AWC. Perform various other duties and activities as assigned to you within the physical constraints of the job.What You'll Bring to the TableYou will be part of a team providing growth and expansion of a Quality culture throughout AWC. Improving the way we work each and every day. Assisting to create streamlined processes and performance growth. In your primary position as Final Inspector you will be ensuring the equipment was built to the requirements of the manufacturer, customer, AWC and code. You will be providing "attention to detail"-- - to ensure customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for the calibration program for your site, ensuring equipment is calibrated at required intervals and there are no gaps in coverage, as well as expediting purchase of new equipment, when required. Keeping track of Non-conformances in the documentation and physical process of building the valves and creating graphs to show areas for improvement. You will assist in certain Safety protocol to ensure site personnel are aware of and reminder about safety measures within the facility. Ensuring our teams are prepared with the training they need in both Quality and Safety, on the job, both in the shop and field. The better we perform the better AWC performs. That's what being part of an ESOP team is all about.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.We are looking for an individual who is detail oriented and has an eye for noticing things out of place.Someone who understands Word, Excel and Outlook, and the ability to create a graph.Be attentive to detail, have good planning, time management skills, and be willing to assume a variety of quality related tasks.Ability to maintain records, documents and compile and organize reports accurately.An understanding knowledge of ASME, NBIC and API code.Ability to read and interpret manufacturers requirements and customer specifications.Skills in effectively listening and communicating tactfully verbally and written.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects up to 35 pounds.Work involves frequent periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning, reaching and bending at the waist.Visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand eye coordination, utilize near and far vision, depth perception, and manual dexterity necessary to work with various materials, objects, and operate basic office equipment which are essential aspects of this position.Able to operate hand trucks.Inspection experience in manufacturing is preferable.All these skills provide an atmosphere where an individual can support and enrich teammates and the business for growth, all along while personifying our "Winner Together"-- - culture.Ability to work extended hours.What our Employee - Owners EnjoyWork hours: 7:00 - 3:30 (M - F), but must be able to work nights/weekends as determined by project/company requirementsEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)401(K) MatchCompetitive PayMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance PackageLife InsurancePaid Time Off and Holiday PayCareer Development OpportunitiesOur CultureAt AWC, our Winning Together culture starts with a shared commitment to building an environment of inclusiveness, trust, and mutual respect.
