INSTRUCTOR –COSMETOLOGY
BUSINESS AND INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
The Cosmetology Instructor duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, classroom and lab instruction of cosmetology skills, provide professional leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum, and participate in professional development activities. Teaching assignment may include day and evening classes. Associate degree from an accredited college. Three years of recent experience working and/or teaching in the cosmetology field required. Five years of recent experience in the field preferred. TDLR Cosmetology license. Experience and/or certifications may possibly be substituted for a portion of the educational requirement. Must be up-to-date on current rules, regulations, and changes issued from TDLR and the cosmetology industry. Learn and use technology to enhance teaching and educational experience when appropriate.Positions are security sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.Salary: Commensurate with experience; 9 Month/Faculty; Excellent Benefit Package and Retirement.
