Job Title: Business Development Representative
UWorld is seeking a talented and competitive Business Development
Representative to grow new business opportunities in the UWorld CPA
division. The role involves collaborating with the Team Leader to
expand the business through direct outreach. The ideal candidate is
an expert relationship manager capable of product demonstrations,
user engagement, and explaining new or updated products
clearly.
Job Qualifications:
- Based out of Dallas, TX, Fort Worth, TX, Houston, TX, or
Austin, TX
- Bachelor's degree in science, marketing, communications,
business, or relevant field preferred
- Minimum of 2+ years of outside higher education sales
experience; Education Technology, SaaS, or Publishing experience
preferred
- Strong understanding of navigating college campuses and
building relationships with faculty and students
- Ability to demonstrate proprietary software and utilize CRM
systems
- Knowledge of industry standards and curiosity about future
educational industry needs
- Willing to travel overnight at least 50% of the time
(seasonally)
- Proven success in sales
- Experience speaking and presenting to large groups
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude for problem-solving and a consultative sales
approach
- Strong planning, prioritizing, organizing, and time management
skills
- Team-oriented with goal focus and strategic engagement in
assigned territory
- Proficient in MS Office and familiar with IT and marketing
software (CRM, Salesforce, etc.)
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Execute UWorld goals and initiatives
- Develop new accounts and research sales opportunities within
the region
- Source new sales leads through cold calling and other outreach
methods
- Collaborate with Technical Account Managers to process quotes
and close sales
- Build a sales pipeline via email, phone, trade shows,
face-to-face meetings, and inbound leads
- Manage post-sales activities and support customer
retention
- Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to gather market
insights and feedback
- Conduct on-site presentations, sales demos, and
webinars
- Attend conferences and tradeshows to engage with
prospects
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities
- Participate in team meetings and company functions
- Stay updated on industry standards and business needs
